"There I Was"
As a kid, I had dreams of flying like a bird. When I was 12, I saw the Army skydivers jump in to the county 4th of July celebration. I finally knew how to make my dream a reality. As an adult, I saw the skydivers from the Sky Sports club make jumps weekend after weekend. I saw the same parachutes weekend after weekend. They were always whooping and hollering and having tons of fun. I knew they were the group for me. They trained me to make a static line jump. I learned how to exit, to steer the parachute and how to make a safe landing. Everything went great! I kept coming back for more. There is nothing like the feeling of flying like a bird. You can see from Mt. Raineer to Mt. St. Helens on a clear day. Thanks for the memories. Linda, still skydiving, Burwell.
My first skydive was a tandem. I wasn't really scared. Something I never thought I would do. My friend talked me in to it then she did not go after all. But I had already made up my mind so I went. It was awesome, outrageous, better than sex. Why did I wait so long. I have seen people from 18 to 78 jump and they all had just as much fun. It is a great sport for everyone to try.
My friend was having a birthday. He always wanted to jump. We got together a group of 7 friends and surprised him. We all made tandem jumps. Everyone had a great time!
